The first license plate pack working as an add-on. Featuring 60 lore-friendly license plates; 7 from iFruit files, 1 from game files, 51 made from scratch, 1 designed by another person. All plates feature custom normal maps and other parameters such as text size, color, or placement on the actual plate. Kind of a shame Rockstar never added the plates featured in iFruit files, it would add some variety to customization.

Use OpenIV to install the .oiv package. That's all. This is a complete install, and as a result may overwrite some files.

IMPORTANT: The latest game version is required for the package to install correctly!

!!!NOTICE!!! To avoid replacing vehshares, and to gain loading priority, the vehshare is installed to the following path: update.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles_packed/vehiclesshared.rpf
This is where you can find it if yuo wish to remove the mod or install other vehshared mods into it.

Recommended for experienced modders. Use this method if you want a custom install, if you want to install it on top of other mods without overwriting them, if you want to install it on previous game version, or if the OpenIV package fails hillariously bad for whatever reason.

 - Add vehshare.ytd to x64e.rpf/levels/gta5/vehicles/vehicles.rpf OR patchday[number]ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf
 - Add carcols.ymt to update.rpf/x64/data

If for any reason you have a modified carcols.ymt file and do not wish to replace it, add the plate data just below the yankton plate (line 70 in carcols.ymt). The plate data can be found at the end of this readme.
For modified vehshare.ytd's, add the plate textures found in the "Plates (For manual installation or replacement)" into the vehshare.ytd

That's all. Using Simple Trainer by sjaak327, you will now be able to apply any of the 40+ plates onto any vehicle.


=FOR THE PLATES SPAWN ON VEHICLES IN TRAFFIC=
 - Add carvariations.ymt found in the "update-x64-data" folder to update.rpf/x64/data
 - Add carvariations.meta found in every other folder inside the mod into common/data within a folder of the respective names in update.rpf/dlc_patch.

=FOR THE PLATES TO SPAWN ON "GTA ONLINE: AFTER HOURS" VEHICLES IN TRAFFIC=
 - Add extratitleupdatedata.meta to update.rpf/common/data.
 - Create the following folder path in update.rpf/dlc_patch: mpbattle/common/data.
 - Add carvariations.meta from the "mpbattle" folder in the mod to the path you have just created (update.rpf/dlc_patch/mpbattle/common/data).

Or, if you prefer to waste hard drive space or believe that the claims of "oh changing extratitleupdatedata.meta is pointless and only Rockstar can do that" you can do the following instead;
 - Add carvariations.meta from the "mpbattle" folder in the mod to "GTA V install folder/update/x64/dlcpacks/mpbattle/dlc.rpf/common/data".


=OPTIONAL STEP=
IMPORTANT: It is NOT necessary to do this. Do this only if you want OpenIV to display the actual names instead of hashes in carcols.ymt.
 - Add objects.txt into "My Documents/OpenIV/Strings". If this path doesn't exist, just don't do anything. Or create it. As I said, this isn't necessary to do.

Currently there is no known way to get the plates to appear in Los Santos Customs. There are trainers (Simple Trainer, Menyoo, Enhanced Native Trainer for example, though from my experience Simple Trainer is the only one functioning correctly) out there that allow to select added on plates. Another way to get them to spawn is by circulating them in traffic, which is, unfortunately, a quite tedious step. Nothing is stopping you from replacing existing plates, though, if you don't want to go through all the trouble of adding them to traffic and/or don't like using trainers.

To add the plates into traffic you will have to add their names into "Plate Probability" section in carvariations.meta - note that you need to use the correct plate names below;

In addition, Google Translate tells me that "coloverdo" means "hanging" for some reason (even though translating "hanging" into Spanish gives me a verified "colgando"), so if that's true it is also fitting because Mesa Verde contains many cliff dwellings.]

Geographically, it's a combination of three southern states; Arizona, New Mexico, (wetsern) Texas. Back when RDR was made, there was no 'lore' for that series. It was supposed to be your average wild-west cowboy game. So it makes sense that New Austin is multiple states combined rather than any one specific thing. Same with Nuevo Paraiso being mutliple northern Mexico states (Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Len). It's easier to follow the name scheme (NEW Austin/NEW Mexico) instead of trying to go through name gymnastics trying to attribute the name to Texas or Arizona.]
